- Audition date/time: Saturday, December 6, between 1-5 PM
- Audition times will be emailed to registrants approx. one week before the audition date
- Audition Location: Crescendo Academy of Music, 359 S Kalamazoo Mall # 12, Kalamazoo, MI 49007
Audition Requirements
- Choose 2-3 minutes of an etude, solo work, or other music that best represents your ability.
- Be prepared to play the following scales:

- C, F, Bb, and Eb concert scales – 2 octaves if possible
- 2 octave chromatic scale
- Sight reading
Additional Information:
- Scholarships are available for annual member dues, private lessons, and summer music camp experiences. Contact us to apply for a scholarship.
- Prep Winds begins in January and meets in Chenery Auditorium’s Reception Rm. on Sundays from 2:30 to 4:30 PM.
- Students will be notified of results the week following auditions
- Returning Prep Winds members in good standing are pre-accepted for 2025/26 and are required to participate in this audition for chair placement.
